    Düsseldorf is the home of some very important art and culture. The great Gustav Gründgens was Director of the renowned Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus theater, whilst the Deutsche Oper am Rhein is Germany’s biggest opera company. Artworks from Picasso to Klee to Beuys and more are on display in the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen.

    From the old town to the "Kö"

    Düsseldorf’s old town captivates with its picture-perfect, historically listed buildings. Its many cozy drinking spots on "the longest bar in the world" make it a popular meeting point in the city. Take a stroll along Königsallee, affectionately known as the "Kö", passing exclusive shops offering pure luxury. From the Steigenberger Parkhotel at the northern end of the Königsallee, it’s just a short walk to the old town. Düsseldorf is also a conference city with a wealth of state-of-the-art facilities for meetings and gatherings.
